Advent Themes - Hope

The sun drops swiftly by the western hills
And sullen, silent night advances, broken
Only by the faintest blush of light -
The crescent moon, by storm clouds partly cloaked.
Yet even this unearthly, shadowed glow
Bespeaks the promise of the present sun,
And though the dark and storms last through the night,
Still Hope will never disappoint the morn.
