Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by du courage on January 1, 2015
"After the fireworks on New years eve, the first day of the year always feels like a kind of anticlimax, nothing happening but a poem that wants out."
New year
New year's first dayis like nobody's land
between yesteryear
and some future event
the first page of a book
with a plot still unclear
the writer unknowing
of what might appear
New year's first day
is still empty and white
nothing to remember it by
but yesterday's night
