"This poem popped up when I read a post of a friend who was trying so hard to be good. While most of what I tried so hard never made me feel happy."

Trying to hard

I tried to be good
It went bad

I tried to be happy
and felt sad

Trying to be perfect
drove me mad

But when not trying
I feel glad
