Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by lostcerebellum on September 3, 2008
"I grew up on a lake in Maine and spent my youth enjoying the water and the woods. This week’s writing prompt isn’t for me, because I never had a dream job in mind. I just knew that I didn’t want to be part of the rat race in some big city, trying to save up enough money to buy a retirement home in Maine. I decided I would rather just live here and get to enjoy it for my whole life, instead of waiting until I was too old to relish it."
Dawn on the Lake
Fog begins to lift.Peace drifts across the water.
Morning sun rises.
